About the National Policy Labs
The National Policy Labs are a core initiative within the BEDA network, developed to test and advance the Living Design Policy Framework Materials (LDPFM). Through two iterative workshop cycles, the Labs will explore how to integrate design into selected national policy areas, informed by the Design Policy Mapping in Europe Report. They will use design methodologies, gather insights, and contribute to a shared European learning process.
Programme Context and Support
The National Policy Labs are enabled through BEDA and MADres, with MADres being co‑funded by the European Union under the Creative Europe programme. Each selected Lab receives a €34,000 lump‑sum grant, supporting the establishment and operation of four Labs with a total call budget of €136,000.
We would like to thank all BEDA members who applied for their strong interest and high‑quality proposals. Further updates, insights, and opportunities will be shared as the Labs progress.
